Toffee Latte vs Caramel Latte
A toffee latte and a caramel latte are both espresso-and-steamed-milk drinks sweetened with a caramelized-sugar syrup, but a caramel latte tastes smoother and cleanly sweet while a toffee latte tastes deeper and more toasted, with a buttery, butterscotch-like edge.

What it means
- The base build is the same: espresso, steamed milk, and a flavored syrup, so texture and caffeine are identical between the two.
- The difference is entirely the syrup: caramel is smooth and rounded, while toffee brings a darker, more roasted, buttery note.
- Caramel lattes are often finished with a caramel drizzle; toffee lattes lean into a richer, cozier profile popular in cooler months.
- Neither is stronger in coffee flavor; they differ only in the character of the sweetness layered on top.
